Julie Holder

Designated Safeguarding Lead

Hello, my name is Julie Holder and I am proud to be a Year 3 teacher, the SENCo and part of the wellbeing team here at Christ Church Junior School. As the designated safeguarding lead, I am here for you if you have any concerns with your child's wellbeing. I love working as part of the Christ Church team and I work especially closely with Mrs Davies and Mrs Prime to make sure all our children are safe, happy and ready to learn.
We know that at some time in their school life, many pupils will experience challenges which affect their learning or emotional development. This is especially true in the current climate, as we are all coming to terms with having experienced a pandemic that has changed how we have led our lives so completely! It has certainly made me cherish those close to me and value my family and friends more dearly and to realise that we all can benefit from having someone to just talk to.
So if you need a listening ear or a helping hand please do get in touch! Remember, problems can often feel smaller when they're shared.
You can always drop me a line via email at wellbeingteam@christchurchjuniorschool.co.uk  or call the school office on 01843 593350 and I will always call you back.

Sandra Davies

Family Liaison Officer (FLO)

A huge hi to all our families! My names Sandra Davies and I am the school’s Family Liaison Officer (FLO), and I am so proud to work at Christ Church and be part of the Christ Church Wellbeing Team! I am here for you - to offer you non-judgemental, confidential support, advice and guidance. We operate an open-door policy and no problem is too big or too small to share – I am here to support your family in any way I can and sign post to more services in the local community if needed.

During my time here at Christ Church I have worked with so many families, supporting emotional well-being, behaviour, changes to the family home, anxiety, self-esteem issues, and many more areas that could be having an impact on a child’s learning and relationships.

I work closely with Mrs Prime, the school Learning Mentor, and we recognise the bigger challenge that the months of lockdown has had for both children and parents. Please know we are here for you and hope to reassure you and to help each child to feel happy and safe in school. If you have any concerns with getting your child to return to school and ready to learn, please do let us know.

I am a listening ear and someone you can always talk to so if you need a chat please stop and talk to me. You can always drop me a line via email at wellbeingteam@christchurchjuniorschool.co.uk or call the school office on 01843 593350 and I will always call you back.

I look forward to working with you in any way I can!

Joan Prime

Learning Mentor

Hello, my name is Joan Prime, and I am a FLO and Learning Mentor at Christ Church Junior School. I love my job and I love this school! Throughout my time here I have gained a lot of experience working with children and families and have supported them with things such as anxiety, bereavement, challenging behaviour, family relationships and well being for children. I have supervised social skills and nurture groups and have run a lunchtime friendship club. I work 1:1 with children with their work when needed.

I also run the breakfast club from Monday to Friday each week, with a focus on healthy eating. After School Clubs are supervised by me, working within Covid guidelines.

Family and family relationships are so important to me. I have two grown up children of my own and a young grandaughter who lights up my life. Outside of school I enjoy reading, walking, tennis and I adore cats!

I work very closely with my colleague Mrs Davies, and we understand the situation regarding the recent pandemic, and the anxiety this can cause, both for parents and children alike. We work to make sure the children feel safe at school, and to reassure parents in this strange time.

I am a good listener so if you need a chat please stop and talk.  Otherwise please contact me via email at wellbeingteam@christchurchjuniorschool.co.uk or call the school office on 01843 593350 and I will always call you back.

I look forward to working with you in any way I can!
